Larry G. Smith, 56, of Myerstown passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Renee L. (Behney) Smith. They would have celebrated their 17th wedding anniversary in July.

Born in Lebanon on July 15, 1962, he was the son of the late Harold L. and Edith M. (Kramer) Smith. He graduated from Northern Lebanon High School with the Class of 1980. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Hamlin.

Larry worked at Layser’s Flowers as a green house worker. Larry liked to go to antique tractor shows, collect toy tractors, being outdoors, but most of all he enjoyed being with his children, family and friends. He was the life of the party.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Shane O. and Kayla R. Smith, both at home; brother Allen R. husband of Nadine Smith of Lebanon; brother-in-law Ronald Weidman, Sr. of Myerstown; and nephew Ronald Weidman, Jr. of Myerstown. He was preceded in death by his sister Rosemary Weidman. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. from the Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home & Crematory, Rt.

72 & Camp Meeting Rd. , Jonestown. Interment will follow the service in Hamlin Cemetery.

There will be a viewing Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service, both at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Larry to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 129 Chestnut Hill Rd. , Fredericksburg, PA 17026.
