OBITUARY Lataine H. Powell June 1, 1926 – September 6, 2018 Mrs. Lataine Houston Powell, age 92, passed away at her home surrounded with family on Thursday, September 6, 2018. Mrs. Powell is preceded in death by her husband, William Frederick Powell, Sr., parents, William Grover and Ida Velma Herrington Houston, and brother, Jack Houston and Howard Houston. Mrs. Powell after many years of service from the Mobile Public Library.

She was a longtime member of Chickasaw United Methodist Church. Her family will remember her love of family, caring for her flowers and her diverse love of music. Mrs. Powell is survived by her children; William Frederick Powell, Jr. (Marcie), Cheryl Lynn Rester and Michelle Larson (Richard).

She is also survived by her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Chickasaw United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
