OBITUARY Hiram Buddy Dykes January 24, 1948 – October 21, 2018 Mr. Hiram Edward “Buddy” Dykes, Jr., age 70, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018. Mr. Dykes is preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Addelene Dykes, wife, Mary Phentress Dykes “Sam”and daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Renee Dykes and Hershell Holliman. Mr. Dykes retired after 35 years of service as a boilermaker with International Paper Company and later worked for The Fluor Company.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, pawpaw, brother and friend.

He is survived by his son, Tim Dykes and daughter-in-law Candice. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Leanna Paige Taylor, Abby Beige Dykes, Brittney King, Daniel Fillingim, great-grandaughter, Sophia Grace Dixon, sister, Patricia Ann White and brother, Perry Wayne Dykes, many nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, Al on Friday, October 26, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
