LaVerna’s Obituary LaVerna Virginia (Mulch) Curtis, 98, of Lansdale, PA; formerly of Bradenton, FL passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Dock Woods Community. She was the loving wife of the late Robert B. Curtis for 69 years. LaVerna was born in Peoria, Illinois to the late Leslie Mulch and the late Veda (Chambers) Mulch.

She graduated from Peoria High School, class of 1937 and then attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL for 2 years. LaVerna was employed as an internal auditor for Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria, IL for more than 5 years. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood.

LaVerna was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing, puzzles, playing games especially Bridge, traveling, RVing, and camping. She loved spending time with her family. LaVerna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

She was an outgoing, social lady who had a good sense of humor. LaVerna is survived by her daughter, Lynn Ann Curtis of Bethlehem, PA; her son, Bruce A. Curtis & wife, Alyce of Doylestown, PA; six grandchildren – Jennifer, Laura, Steven, Megan, Kristen, & Pamela; her ten great-grandchildren – Hunter, Brennan, Jordan, Melissa, Kayla, Tricia, Kyle, Gavin, Saylor, & Lydia; one great-great-granddaughter, Lacey, and one great-great-grandson, Jaxson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Mulch and her granddaughter, Karen Sue Curtis.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday May 22, 2019 at Dock Woods Community Chapel, 275 Dock Drive, Lansdale, Pennsylvania 19446. Friends may meet with the family at 2:00 pm followed by the memorial service beginning at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Living Branches Foundation, Dock Woods/Dock Meadows Sharing Fund, 275 Dock Drive Lansdale, PA 19446.
