Lawrence’s Obituary Lawrence J. “Larry” Casilio, 69, 951 Lockes Hill Road, Wilcox, died Friday morning, Dec. 21, 2018 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Lawrence was born on Jan.

16, 1949 in St. Marys, son of Umbert J. “Scrap” and Beatrice A. “Betty” Cheatle Casilio. He married Karen Laughner on June 20, 2008 in St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg and she survives. He resided in Wilcox for the past 10 years.

He had lived most of his life in Johnsonburg and graduated from Johnsonburg High School in 1966. Lawrence was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Wilcox, Sportsmen’s Club, and Johnsonburg Elk Club 612. He had served an enlistment in the Army National Guard.

He retired from Windfall Products/Metaldyne after over 30 years of service in 2014. He had also been a Game Warden for the Pennsylvania Game Commission and still volunteered to teach the Trapper Training portion of the Hunter’s Safety Training Course required for new hunters to obtain a license. He also loved to volunteer his time at Youth Field Days to teach about trapping.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Karen, at home; by three sons: Scott Casilio and his wife, Janelle, of Atascocita, Texas; Marty Casilio and his wife, Michelle, of Wilcox; and Bryon Casilio of Pitsburgh; by two stepchildren: Kelly, Mrs. Justin Myers of Wilcox, and Greg Mellquist and his wife, Dawn, of Johnsonburg; by eight grandchildren: Peyton, Brady and Jake Casilio; Rylee and Cole Casilio; and Hunter, Jada and Jena Casilio; and by six step-grandchildren Drew, Justice and Cole Myers; and Jordyn, Camryn and Kaya Mellquist. He is also survived by his two brothers, Albert “Butch” Casilio and his wife, Denise, of Johnsonburg; and Edward Casilio and his wife, Jill, of Johnsonburg; by four sisters, Nancy, Mrs. Donald DeAngelo of Wilcox; Suzanne, Mrs. David Lenze of St. Marys; Janet, Mrs. Joseph Brunner of Ridgway and Kathleen; Mrs. Paul Palkovic of Myerstown. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Richard Casilio. A Mass of Christian Burial for Lawrence J. Casilio will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg on Friday Dec. 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. with Rev.

David Wilson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be private. There will be no visitation.

Arrangements are under direction of the Anthony F Ferragine Funeral Home 401 Chestnut Street Johnsonburg.
