Lawrence Matthew “Mack” Phillips, 87, of Summerville, husband of Dorothy V. Phillips, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Trident Medical Center. Family and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Monday, February 25, 2019 from 5 to 7 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 2 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville. Mr. Phillips was born in Berkeley County, on May 2, 1931, son of the late Arthur Phillips and Hattie Mills Phillips. Mr. Phillips served in the United States Air Force.

He retired from the State Highway Department as a Maintenance Shop Supervisor. Flowers will be accepted. Survivors, including his wife Dorothy are one son and one daughter: Timmy M. Phillips of Summerville and Julie P. Murdaugh of Summerville; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one son: Lawrence Eugene Phillips and one brother and one sister: Eugene Phillips and Estelle Mixon. A memorial message may be written to the family by visiting our website at www. jamesadyal.com.
