Davis, age 86, of Brick Township passed away Monday, January 14, 2019 at his daughter’s home. Lawrence was born in Spring City, PA on June 15, 1932 and later resided in Iselin, NJ until his retirement, when he relocated to Brick Township in 1997. A graduate of Stevens College, Lawrence attained his Teaching degree and went onto obtain his master’s degree from Seton Hall University.

During his college career, Lawrence was inducted into the Stevens College football Hall of Fame. Until his retirement, Lawrence was a Teacher for Kawameeh Middle School for the Union Twps. Board of Education.

During his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and was an avid Boston Red Sox and Eagles fan. Lawrence was also a long-time member of the Brick Elks. Lawrence was a loving husband, father and grandfather, he will be dearly missed by his family.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife Joan Davis in 2001. He is survived by his daughter Karen and her husband Joseph Watson of Brick and by his son Jamie and his wife Judi of Toms River. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan, Cameron, Kyle, Kayley, Brady and Jake.

The family will receive relatives and friends for Visitation on Friday from 4:00 – 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at Colonial Funeral Home, 2170 Highway 88 Brick, NJ 08724. Cremation will be handled privately. Condolences may be sent to www.
