Lea Vanderboom, age 89 of Leitchfield passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield. She was born December 15, 1928 in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Carolyn M. Eimer Vanderboom. She was a retired Nurse Anesthitist starting at Grayson County War Memorial Hospital until retiring from Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by one sister, Mary Louise Clarke (Donald) of Ridott, Illinois, a special friend, Alberta Downs of Leitchfield, two “Adopted” daughters, Sandra Earles (George) of Lexington, Kentucky, and Kathi Riggs (Bernie) of Upton, Kentucky, 14 “Adopted” Grandchildren, 25 “Adopted” great-grandchildren, 5″Adopted” great-great-grandchildren with one on the way, and several cousins also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two “Adopted” sons, David and Gary Downs.
