Obituary for Leah G. Sobek (Albert) Print Leah Grace (Albert) Sobek, 91, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, peacefully, and surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 3, 1927, in Newell, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late James Sr. and Mary J. Nesbar Albert. Leah was an active member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Erie, PA and the Rosary Society.

She had a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Leah was a member of the Hunky Club and Garden Club. She enjoyed sewing, baking, decoupage and crochet.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward R. Sobek; her four brothers, William K. (Peck) Albert, James Albert Jr., Christopher (Christy) K. Albert and Thomas B. Albert; and her three sisters Mary Ann (Betsy) Radcliffe, Elizabeth (Lil) Myrga, and Virginia (Gina) Novotne. She is survived by her three sons, Timothy E. Sobek, wife Nancy (Export, PA), Mark S. Sobek, wife Linda (Noblesville, PA), Edward B. Sobek, wife Susan (Brunswick, OH); her daughter, LeeAnn Solosky, husband Thomas (Fort Wayne, IN); her grandchildren: Bryan M. Sobek, wife, Wendy; Valerie M. Clymer, husband, Daniel; Laura C. Buck, husband Bryan; Stephanie R. Sobek and fiancé, James; Matthew C. Sobek, Christine N. Sobek, Daniel A. Sobek, Leah M. Pollock and Christopher E. Pollock; and her four great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the care giving staff of Cardinal Court, Strongsville, OH for their care of our mother.

Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. 5000 Wattsburg Rd. Erie, PA 16504, on Friday from 5 to 8 pm. and are invited to a prayer service there the following morning at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Luke Church at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum.
