Obituary for Leland Foster Sloan Leland Foster Sloan, 64, of Finksburg, MD passed away on November 7, 2018. Born March 16, 1954 in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Leo and Virginia (Brown) Sloan and the devoted husband of Wanda Sloan. Leland was the founder of Datasyst, a software writing company.

His true passion was music, where he composed all the music and played keyboards for his band “I Don’t Trust Robots”. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. His family remembers him as being a very sociable person who enjoyed meeting and conversing with new people.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 1/2 years, Wanda Sloan; son, Loren Foster Sloan and his wife, Laura of Baltimore, MD; two sisters: Janice Sox of Prosperity, SC, and Louise Marion of Fuquay Varina, NC. A visitation will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Eline Funeral Home, 2901 Bloom Rd, Finksburg, MD.

A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, November 12, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Eline Funeral Home. Interment will be in Carrollton Church of God Cemetery. Leland was a pancreatic cancer survivor.
