Obituary for Lena Marie Roberts It is with great sadness that the family of Lena Marie Roberts announces her passing after a brief illness, on Friday, October 12, at the age of 71 years. Lena was born on January 31, 1947 in Constantia, New York to Clyde Eason and Ruth Boots Eason. She attended nursing school and used the skills that she learned there to serve as a lieutenant nurse in the army during the Vietnam War.

Then, she joined the Coast Guard Naval Reserve as a lieutenant JG and served for several years. After that, she went into home health care service for many years helping those in need. Lena retired to Rockport and met Dennis Roberts who she married on January 24, 2008.

The couple moved to Kerrville, where they have been happily living ever since. She is preceded in death by her parents Clyde & Ruth Eason. Lena will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Dennis L. Roberts of Kerrville and her daughter, Julie Gerth of Harlingen, TX, as well as her stepsons, Danny Roberts of Fort Worth, Ward Roberts of Kerrville and Seth Roberts of Aubrey, TX.

Lena will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Tyler, Travis, Aiden, Luke, Arabella, and Ben, and by her sister, Rosie Gerth.
