Lenora Meyer Oberhoff October 14, 1931 – December 26, 2018 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Lenora Meyer Oberhoff went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Greatwood Assisted Living in Sugar Land, TX. She was born October 14, 1931, in Needville, TX, to parents Fred and Alma (Kaack) Meyer. She grew up on a farm in Needville where her family farmed cotton.

Lenora married HenryLee Oberhoff on November 24, 1949. After living in Rosenberg, they made their home in Needville. They were blessed with six children, 14 grandchildren, and 27 great grandchildren.

Lenora was a loving, caring wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was an amazing, beautiful lady who will be missed dearly. She loved baking, gardening, camping, dancing, reading, and most of all spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

In addition to rearing six of her own children, she also babysat several children in the community. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Church in Needville, where she taught Sunday School when her children were younger. She was also involved in the Women’s Guild.

She is survived by her children, Carol and Thomas Kaderka, Barbara Mazen, Sandy and Harold Brown, Charlotte Meuth, Bruce and Becky Oberhoff, and Connie and Robert Gorka; grandchildren, Vanessa and James Rodriguez, Tracey Weathers, Brandon Kaderka, Kimberly and Brian Satsky, Mary and Clint Threadgill, Kristi and Clint Cushman, Matt Meuth, Stacy and Jason Ermis, John and Melissa Chapman, Jeff and Casey Chapman, Jessica Duncan, Bridget and Dave Goodbread, Justin Gorka (Mindy), and Samantha and Justin Svatek. There are 27 great grandchildren. Lenora is also survived by four sisters-in-law, Eddie Ruth Oberhoff, Evelyn Oberhoff, Ruby Lee Oberhoff, and Effie Oberhoff.

Lenora was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, HenryLee Oberhoff. She lost many family members during her 87 years: her parents, her three siblings, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Special thanks to the staff at Greatwood Assisted Living who treated her with great kindness and compassion.

We are also grateful for the care and concern Dr. Geraldine Gossard, Dr. Arthur Springer, and Dr. Veronica Ruiz bestowed on our loved one. Memorials may be given in her memory to Immanuel Evangelical Church, 9018 Church Street, Needville, TX 77461. Funeral services are set for 1:00 PM Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Immanuel Evangelical Church, 9018 Church Street, Needville, TX 77461, with burial following in Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, TX 77471.

Visitation will be 5 – 7:30 PM Friday, December 28, 2018, at Immanuel Evangelical Church. Active Pallbearers will be Brandon Kaderka, Brian Satsky, Jeff Chapman, John Chapman, Justin Gorka, and Matt Meuth. Honorary Pallbearers will be Clint Cushman, Clint Threadgill, David Goodbread, James Rodriguez, Jason Ermis, and Justin Svatek.
