Noemi P. Garrett August 8, 1946 – December 24, 2018 Noemi Palmarez Garrett reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Wylie, on December 24, 2018. She was born on August 2, 1946 in Rosenberg, Texas, the youngest child of Santiago and Petra Palmarez (both deceased). She was also predeceased by her stepson Bart Garrett, siblings, Jimmy, Andrew and Henry Palmarez and sister Rosie Quintero.

Noemi is survived by her two children Kevin Garrett and daughter Ashlee Ramirez and husband, Carlos. She is also survived by her stepson Brett Garrett and wife Kim; stepdaughter Dena Engel and husband, Alan; sisters, Janie Luna, Margaret Ramirez, Isabel Olivas and Rachel Mendoza and husband, Yismael and brother Raymond Palmarez and wife, Cecilia. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

In 2016, Noemi faced the biggest challenge of her life, a diagnosis of Neuromyelitis Optica (otherwise known as NMO). NMO is a rare autoimmune disease that has no cure. In an effort to raise awareness for this debilitating disease, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Guthy Jackson Charitable Foundation.
