Obituary for Leonard Kitt Leonard Odell Kitt, age 79, of 805 White Rock Gap Road, Covington, Virginia passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018 in the home of his wife, Judy Whitmore Kitt. He was born November 11, 1938 in Low Moor, Virginia, the son of Norvelle Bishop Kitt and Eula Mae Bush Kitt. He served in the United States Army, and was retired from the former Hercules Plant after 27 years.

He loved to travel, hunt, fish, and cut his own firewood. He loved people. If he could help you, he would, and he never met a stranger.

Mr. Kitt was predeceased by his sister, Alice Marshall and brothers, Preston, Melvin, Vernon, Henry, and James. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Timothy Bush of Kansas, and Tony Burrell of Fincastle; a brother, Johnny Ray Kitt of Richmond; a sister-in-law, Betty Kitt; a step-daughter, Michelle Shamblin; a grandson, Alex Burrell of Fincastle, four step grandchildren, Chelsie, Gage, Olivia, and Khloe Shamblin, and two step great grandchildren, Kylah and Milo, all of whom he loved greatly; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2018 at 3:30 PM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Hartsfield officiating.
