Lester Louie Wells Of Eaton Rapids, MI passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the age of 77. Lester was born on December 2, 1940 the son of Edwin and Vilona (Fisher) Wells in Eaton Rapids, MI. He was a graduate of Eaton Rapids High School class of 1958 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps from 1959 to 1965.

Upon returning home, Lester went to work for Atlas Drop Forge in Lansing, MI where he worked as a heat treater. He was an avid outdoors man and spend his retirement hunting, fishing and gardening.

Lester was a member of the NRA, Michigan Bow Hunters and the Michigan Conservation Club. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Noel Wells. Surviving are his sisters, Imogene (Charles) Rankin, April Wells, nieces and nephews, Shane (Destini) Wells, Amy Reynolds, Jeremy Wells, Scott Wells, Sue (Wilson) Simmet, Julie Rankin and numerous great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamlin Township, MI. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. To share memories or condolences please visit www.
