Lewis Edward Elliott, 61, resident of Modest Town, VA, formerly of Reliance, MD, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his home. Born July 26, 1956 in Easton, MD, he was a son of the late Charles Edward Elliott and Mary Ellen Parks Lane. Lewis proudly served his country in the United States Army, and for many years, worked for Rocky Harrison Paving, in Federalsburg, MD.

With his free spirit and “roll with it” attitude, Lewis was always ready for the next thing and constantly on the move. From a young age, he loved music and was a talented guitarist and singer. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was often found piddling in the yard or tinkering with a small engine.

Lewis moved to the Eastern Shore in 2015 and became a devoted member of Modest Town Baptist Church, and for the last three years, he very much looked forward to Wednesday nights and Sunday mornings spent with his church family. The eldest of six children, Lewis was the best big brother a kid could have and will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his five siblings, Marlin Wayne Elliott and Kathy Dyes of Federalsburg, James Jeffrey Elliott and wife Amanda of Cambridge, MD, Darlene Elliott Willey and husband Raymond of Modest Town, William Cedric Elliott of Cambridge, and Keith Allen Elliott and wife Candy of Hurlock, MD; uncle, Cecil Parks and wife Betty of Federalsburg; two aunts, Margaret Jean Parks of Reliance, and Fay Collins of Homosassa, FL; several nieces and nephews; and lots of cousins, all of whom him dearly.

A memorial service will be held at the Modest Town Baptist Church on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., with The Reverend John Cullop officiating. Inurnment will follow in the church cemetery.
