Lida Florence Campbell March 06, 1924 – May 24, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Lida Bentley Williams Campbell, 95, Elizabethton, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at her residence after a brief illness. Born March 6, 1924 in Avery County, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late Oscar & Dora Oakes Bentley. She had lived most of her life in Elizabethton.

She was a homemaker. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Hunter First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Ross Williams, her second husband Frank Campbell, Two Sisters: Maude Baldwin and Mae Burleson, four brothers: Wheeler, Rom, Ronald & Robert Bentley.

Survivors include Her Children: Wanda McGowan, Vernon Williams, Wayne Williams & wife Wanda and Rick Williams & wife Pat all of Elizabethton. Three Sisters: Martha Baldwin, Victoria Carpenter and Virgie Yontz. 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday May 28, 2019 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Tony Clark officiating.

Interment will follow in Caldwell Springs Cemetery. Music will be provided by Donna Clark, Rev. Tony Clark and Millie Renfro.

Active Pallbearers will be: Joshua Williams, Matthew Williams, Justin Campbell, Jamie Blair, Stefen Fuller and Ireland McGowan. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Matthew Roark, Lucas Roark, Terry Matney and Jonah McGowan. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the Staff of Amedisys Hospice, Kim Nielsen, nurses & staff of Sycamore Shoals Hospital, friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Friends may also visit with the family at the residence of a daughter Wanda McGowan, 266 Wilbur Dam Road, Elizabethton. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.
