The loving and devoted wife for 59 years to the late Senais L. Edwards Sr. (Eddie 3 Way). She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest Ware Sr., Alma Dyer Ware and brother Ernest Ware Jr

She was the mother of Pamella Bouie (Zeb), Leslie Smith (Alexander) and Senais Edwards Jr. (Margaret); Grandmother of Zeb Bouie Jr, Joseph Holmes, Nikki Edwards, Senais Edwards III, and Ashley Edwards and great-grandma to Chendre’ Edwards. She is survived by her two sisters Alise Mitchell of Yonkers, New York and Elizabeth Grayson of Los Angeles Ca along with a host of other relatives and friends. She was a graduate of McDonough 35 Senior High School and Xavier University where she received her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy.

Affectionately known as “Mommie”, she picked up lifelong friends who became family. Many may know her for working across the metro area at Watkins Drugs, American Drugs, Schwegmann and Roberts. She was a member of the Joliets’ Social Club and President of The Ladies Vacation Club.

Relatives, friends and staff of Xavier Alumni, Orleans Parish School Board, Ochsner Baptist, United Nursing, International City Church and the Mintz Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday January 23, 2018 for 10:00 a.m. at Little Zion Baptist Church, 4821 Earhart Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70125. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Rev.
