OBITUARY Linda Ruth Ammons Ernst September 23, 1948 – January 17, 2019 Linda Ruth Ammons Ernst, 70, peacefully passed away on at her home Thursday, January 17, 2019. Linda was born on September 23, 1948 in Louisville to the late Wilbur and Nancy Ammons. She grew up in Elizabeth, Indiana and resided in Louisville, where she retired as a RN from Norton Audubon.

She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Her husband, Patrick S. Ernst Sr.; grandson, Sean Ernst and infant sister, Angela have preceded her in death. Here to carry on her beautiful memory are her children, Patrick S. Ernst, Jr. (Janet) and Karen Boggs (Keith); grandchildren, Adam Ernst (Jessica) and Lance Humphrey; great grandson, Lincoln Alexander Ernst; and siblings, Catherine Kinzer, Nancy “Darlene” Ballew and Marty Ammons.

The family kindly suggest expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. A service celebrating Linda’s life will be held at 7pm on Monday, January 21st at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road. Friends are welcome to visit with the family starting at 2pm on Monday.

There will be a private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park.
