Nauert, Sr., Joseph William, 85, passed away peacefully January 17, 2019 with his family by his side. He was a proud Army Veteran, retired from Ford Motor Company after 27 years (known as “Little Joe”), a member of St. Helen’s/Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church for 64 years and a graduate from St. Xavier in 1951. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Anna Marie Nauert and Donna Sue Meredith.

Joe is survived by his wife of 66 years, Chiquita Pirrmann Nauert; sons, Joseph Jr., (Kathy), Michael and Gary Nauert; daughters, Rose Mary Nauert-Till, Mary Pat Payne (Doug), Cathy Brown (Dennis), Charlene Hoffman (George), Diane Hester (Mike), Sharon Shouse (Joe); sisters, Teresa Ellsworth and Mary Catherine “Kitty” Redmon; 24 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. A Mass of Resurrection will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 10 a.m. at his church, 4005 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Ratterman Keenan Southwest Chapel Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 1 – 8 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Pitch in for Baseball- PIFB.org, American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
