Rachelle Dobbs Gilles, age 50, passed away peacefully with family by her side at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born February 18, 1968 in Owensboro, KY to the late William and Phyllis West Dobbs. She was a proud graduate of Apollo High School, Class of ’86, and University of Kentucky, Class of ‘90.

Rachelle was involved in many activities in her community. She was the owner of “Zoup! ” restaurant on 4th Street.

She was an avid tennis player and a member of the Double Trouble Tennis Team. She participated in a Bible Study group. Mostly, Rachelle was a very devoted and loving wife to her husband and an exceptional mother to her children.

She loved them dearly and always enjoyed having family meals together. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Paul Gilles; her fraternal twins, Hannah Gilles (daughter); and son Hayden Gilles (son); her sister, Menisa Dobbs Taylor (Wilson); and her brother Jason Dobbs. Visitation will be held from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Ratterman Funeral Home, 12900 Shelbyville Road, East Louisville.
