Linda Francis of Gloucester, died unexpectedly on Sunday February 17, 2019. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren as Babcie. She was born June 19, 1949 in Chelsea, MA to Joseph A. Yurewicz and Wanda C. Yurewicz (Mackiewicz).

Linda was a 1967 graduate of Ipswich High School, and attended Butera School of Art in Boston. Linda was a former administrative assistant at Rockport Elementary School and Montserrat College of Art. She recently retired from Salem State University.

Linda loved cooking. She watched cooking shows and was eager to make new recipes for her family. She was especially known for Babcie pickles.

She was artistic, and always had a project whether it be sewing, or knitting for her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed gardening and her window boxes were always overflowing. Linda enjoyed listening to the music of Roy Orbison and was a big Celtics fan.

Her happiest days were spent at the Beach with her grandchildren, and watching them perform on fields and stages. She is survived by her three children, daughter Stacey and husband Ted Twombly of Rockport, daughter Kristen and husband Chris Wilson of Es, and son Darren Francis of Rockport. Her loves of her life, her grandchildren Molly, Lucy and Francesca Twombly and Fletcher and Dashiell Wilson.

She is also survived by her sister Joan Yurewicz of Rockport, and also, her longtime companion Donald Guiffrida. In keeping with her wishes, funeral services will be private. Arrangements are by the Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington St. Gloucester.
