Linnea’s Obituary Linnea J. Klendworth (nee Furman) passed away peacefully in her home Sunday morning, February 24, after an extended battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Douglas; her twin daughters, Kourtney Klendworth and Krystal Kleine; her father, Joseph; her grandchildren, Charlie and Callie; and other family and friends. Linnea was born on March 23, 1947 to Joseph and Genevieve (Sitnick) Furman of Hammond, Indiana.
She graduated from Morton High School in Hammond in 1965. She then attended Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Illinois where she received a bachelor’s degree in Secretarial Sciences. After leaving Lincoln, Linnea worked as the secretary to the head of Purdue University Psychology department.
After 1 year, she became the managing editor for the Department of Psychological Sciences at Purdue. In 1981, Linnea and her husband moved to Bartlesville, OK where she gave birth to their identical twin daughters, Kourtney and Krystal. Seven years later, they moved to Morris, Illinois and then three years later moved to West Chester, Ohio where they have resided for the past 27 years.
Linnea loved Jesus, so regardless of where she called home, she always modeled a servant’s heart in Kingdom work. Linnea served her family as a stay-at-home Mom and her church in a variety of ways over the years. Linnea is preceded in death by her mother, Genevieve, and her sister, Ellycia.
In lieu of flowers, Linnea had requested that donations be made to the OceanPointe Christian Church’s GREATER campaign. Linnea has supported OceanPointe, a church plant in Rhode Island, and her daughter, Kourtney, who has served on staff there for the past 5 years. Please follow this link to donate: www.

Burial will be in the Erie Cemetery.
