Linwood Harding “Benny” Lewis, Jr., 52, of Martinsville, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was born May 29, 1966 in Martinsville, to Linwood Harding Lewis, Sr. and Lois Towler Lewis. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffrey Towler; Grandma Dossie Towler and Grandma Pearl Gilley; uncles, Donnie Towler and Kenneth Towler; and lifetime friend, Randy Zirk.

Benny had been employed by Rock Ten in Packing. He attended Highland Baptist Church; he never met a stranger, loved people, enjoyed life and lived it his way. He was non-judgmental of others, and he loved rock music and was the life of the party.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Jackie Cayton Lewis; daughter, Jessica Brown; grandchildren, Lariah and Steven Castleberry; sister, “Dee Dee” (Roger) McGuire ; nieces, Beth Robertson (Anthony), and Samantha McGuire; nephews, Luke McGuire and Jeffrey McGuire; great-nephews, Abel and Jasper; great-niece, Allison; and life-time friend, Kenny McGuire. The funeral will be 7:30 PM Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Kelly Ratcliff officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service and at other times at the sister’s home.
