Obituary for Linwood E. Baird Linwood E. Baird, 77, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away on July 29, 2018 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne from end stage kidney failure. Linwood was born in Oakland, Maine on October 1, 1940 to Ella and Carl Baird. He grew up in Maine, went to college, and moved to Denver, Colorado.

He worked with Commercial Credit in Denver, where he met and fell in love with Sara Hunter. Lin and Sara were married in 1965, and moved to Cheyenne, where he worked for Ford Motor Credit. Following that, Lin worked as a Bank Examiner for the State of Wyoming until he retired.

He them became a Laramie County School District #1 on-call bus driver. Lin enjoyed his time and many friends as a Kiwanis member and as a world traveling cruising companion to Sara. Lin is survived by his wife Sara; faithful dog, Molly: daughter, Cindy Fornstrom (Stacey); son, Michael Baird (Sarah); grandsons, Charlie, Jacob, Henry, and Matthew Baird; brothers, Clyde Baird and Maynard Baird (Ruth); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Lin’s smile, positive attitude, and friendly and giving nature will always be remembered by his family and friends. There will be no services at this time, however the family hopes to have a gathering in the fall to celebrate Lin’s Life. In memory of Lin, donations can be made to Davis Hospice Center.
