Lisa D. Shaw, 54, of Hunlock Creek, died Thursday morning, May 3, 2018, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Mary Schwartz Dougherty and Frank Dougherty of Harrisburg, and a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School. Lisa worked for Misericordia University as their postmaster and was a member of Loyalville United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, camping, fishing, gardening, listening to country music, going to Mount Haven with her husband Chris and doing whatever possible to make someone smile. On campus she was known as “Momma Lisa” and the students little piece of home away from home. Lisa went above and beyond to make sure all of her students were happy, whether it was a shoulder to cry on, a smiling face, a listening ear or her crazy and spontaneous dancing and singing to brighten the day.

Not only was Lisa known for her dancing and singing, but she was also known for her random on the spot Chinese Fire Drills, and famous sayings, such as: “Oh Mylanta,” “Son of a Sea Cook,” “Holy Hannah,” and “Manja, Manja”. Lisa had an infectious smile, one of which that could make even the darkest of days bright again. She always found the good in everyone and everything, and made the best of every situation, even when all odds were stacked against her.

Lisa is survived by her loving husband, Chris; daughters, Nicole Andrukaitis and her husband, Frank, Wilkes-Barre; Jessica Alba, Hunlock Creek; Amanda Juckett, Wilkes-Barre; Lindsey Hartzell and her husband, Donny, Loyalville; Kristi Shaw and her fiancee, Jeffrey, Simpson. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Alaina, Taya, Teagen, Tahlia, Mason, Giovanni, Kolton, Luna Rae, Cedar, Chloe, sister, Lori Longfoot, Wilkes-Barre and life long best friend Joseph Alba, Wilkes Barre. Funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Lehman Family Funeral Service, Inc. 689 Hazle Ave.

, Wilkes-Barre, with Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Sweet Valley. Visitation will be on Monday, May 7, 2018, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Wednesday morning from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
