Lisa Marie Underco was born October 31, 1961 in Cleveland, OH, the older of two children and only daughter of George Samuel Underco Jr. and Patrician Ann O’Neil. She was raised in Geauga County and attended school there, graduating from West Geauga High School in 1979.

As a young lady, Lisa was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, an unpredictable and often disabling disease of the central nervous system. She faced many challenges, both in diagnosis and in treatment, but she learned to live with and manage her condition. She started her own business, a home cleaning service, and her dream grew into a very successful business.

By the time Lisa medically retired, she managed 3 crews and operated 5 days a week. On May 2, 1987, Lisa married Scott Schinness in Munson, OH, and to this union, a daughter, Samantha was born. Lisa continued to overcome life’s challenges her disability never defined her.

Lisa’s passion was anything and everything horses, and she never missed an opportunity to attend a horse show with Sam. In June of 2018, Lisa and mom Pat, moved to Wayne to be closer to Sam. Shortly after the move, Lisa had faced yet another challenge in the diagnosis of cancer, and through it all, she remained positive.

She was a courageous soul and a woman of great faith who lived her life to the fullest. She was a wonderful mother and daughter, sister, aunt and a true friend. She will be dearly missed!

Lisa leaves behind: Her daughter, Samantha Schinness of Wayne, OK; Mother, Patricia O’Neil of Wayne, OK; Father, George Underco of KY; Brother, George Samuel Underco and wife Susan of Mentor, OH; Two nephews, Jimmy Underco of Avon, IN and Daniel Underco of Painsville Township, OH and A host of other family and friends. A Celebration of Life Memorial is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Union Hill Baptist Church near Purcell, OK. Another Celebration of Life will be held in her hometown, 10:30 A.M., January 31, 2019, at Huntsburg Baptist Church in Huntsburg, OH.
