Pam McEachern June 21, 1954 – January 12, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Send Sympathy Gifts View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Longtime Anadarko resident, Pam McEachern, age 64 of Sand Springs, entered Heaven’s Gates Saturday, January 12, 2019. Pamela Jean McCray was born June 21, 1954 in Cherokee, OK. Her parents were Elmer Ray and Hattie Joan (Wallenstein) McCray.

As a young girl, Pam lost her father, and yet gained another when her mother remarried a Pastor. They moved around a bit, living in Hammond and Okeene, and she finished high school in Tipton. She then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education.

Pam was a proud mother to daughter, Melissa and son, Brandon and they first made their home in El Reno. Pam began working in a child care center and returned to school at Rose State College where she earned an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Development. She and the kids moved to Anadarko in the summer of 1989 when Pam started working as a Vocational Counselor at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center.

She loved helping people find their way in life and helped so many attain their educational goals. She returned to SWOSU, earning her Masters of Education Degree in 1993. She was fiercely independent, determined, a positive influence and a great teacher and counselor.

She instilled this in her children and in her students, and these qualities served her well in her life journey. Pam was a woman of great faith and she lived her life to reflect it every day. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Anadarko, the United Methodist Women and she served in many capacities.

She loved family get togethers and playing pitch for hours, scrapbooking, cooking and gardening. She loved hiking, was always up for a challenge and she never missed an opportunity to go rock climbing in the Wichitas. She believed she could do anything and she helped those around her to believe it for themselves.

For the last 25 years, Pam has testified to her faith, as she faced cancer multiple times. In 2014 she retired from CKTC and moved to Sand Springs to be closer to her daughter Melissa and most importantly her granddaughter Ava. She was a wonderful mother and the best Grammie Pammie.

She will be dearly missed! She was preceded in death by: Her parents, Elmer McCray and The Rev. Leonard and Joan Tolle.

Pam is survived by: Her children, Melissa McEachern Wilkins and husband Will, and Their daughter, Ava of Sand Springs and Brandon McEachern and wife Jenny and their Children, Colton and Jackson of Bethany; Sisters, Phyllis Culliver and husband Bryan of Elk City, Paula Appleton and husband Marty of Alva and Peggy Revercomb and husband Kyle of Weatherford, TX; Brothers, Stan Tolle of Watonga, Steven Tolle and wife Stefanie of Hudson, NY, Gary McCray and wife Leslie of Broken Arrow and Dr. Greg Tolle and wife Hadley of Yukon; Several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Centenary United Methodist Church in Tulsa. Pam will be laid to rest 1:00 P.M. Friday at the Aline Star Cemetery in Aline, OK.
