Lisa Marie Starr Sias , April 27, 1969 — December 14, 2018

Lisa Marie Sias, 49, of Pellston, went to Heaven on December 14, 2018 after a short stay at the Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. Lisa was born April 27, 1969, in Petoskey, the daughter of Bill and Diane (Bricker) Starr. She attended Pellston schools.

On February 15, 1996, she married longtime partner, David Sias. In her spare time, Lisa enjoyed taking pictures of the outdoors, including waterfalls, trees and all of Northern Michigan’s beautiful seasons, but most of all, she loved to photograph her children as they grew. Lisa also liked to ride on her husband’s can-am motorcycle.

She would put on her boots and coat and that’s how David knew they would be going somewhere for a joy ride. She especially loved to ride along the tunnel of trees with David. Above all else, Lisa was a mother.

She stayed home with her children and made sure to provide them with everything they needed to excel. She was a Girl Scout Leader for her daughter Tirsah-Joy’s class and would attend every one of her children’s school events. She would also take on the mother role for many of her children’s friends.

She was extremely caring and giving and had the biggest heart. Lisa is survived by the love of her life, her husband, David Sias of Pellston; her children, Tyler (Brianna) Sias of Cheboygan, Austin (Erica) Sias of Cheboygan, and Tirsah-Joy (Daniel) Ingalls of Petoskey; grandchildren, Jace, Adam, Angel, Athena, Laura and one on the way; her parents, Diane and Bill Starr of Pellston; and sister, Christeen Starr of Petoskey. Lisa’s life will be remembered during a memorial service at the Alanson Church of the Nazarene on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. with a brief visitation beginning at 2:30 p.m. Pastor Foster Schmitt will officiate the service.
