Obituary for Lizzie Mae Todd Lizzie Mae Todd of Muskogee, Oklahoma went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 6, 2019. She was born on November 6, 1933 to Linzie and Bessie Gibson in Vian, Oklahoma. They later moved to Sallisaw, Oklahoma where she attended school.

Lizzie Mae Gibson married the love of her life, Johnnie Eichling Todd of Braggs, Oklahoma on October 1, 1951 in Van Buren, Arkansas. They shared 67 years of a happy life and marriage together in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Lizzie was a devout Christian woman.

She was strong in her faith and her love for the Lord. She was a longtime and well-loved member of Westside Church of Christ. Liz was fun loving and full of life, she was such a joy to be around because you never knew what was going to come out of her mouth.

Liz worked at Purity Drug Store and Corning Glass Company. Liz so enjoyed crappie fishing with her sweetheart Johnnie on the Tallahassee loop. She was also passionate about tending her flower garden.

Liz’s greatest treasures though were her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and true love Johnnie who she lost two weeks prior to her passing; parents; daughter, Carolyn Groves; brothers, Richard Gibson, G.W. Gibson, and Raymond Gibson. Lizzie is survived by her daughters, Johnna and husband John O’Rear, Theresa and husband Bobby Brown, all of Muskogee; grandchildren, J. Groves, Lee Ann and husband Chris Hughes, Jimbo and wife Sarah O’Rear; Megan and husband Patrick Herriman, Samantha and husband Tyler Cook, and Bailey Brown; great-grandchildren, Kenadee Hughes, Sierra Groves, Aubree O’Rear, Annslee Hughes, lzzee O’Rear, Knox Cook; great-great-grandchild, Scarlett Rose; Sisters, Kathrine Cody and Ruby Jackson along with many beloved nephews, nieces, cousins, and a host of special friends.

The family would like to express a very special “Thank You” to the staff and residents at The Springs Nursing Center for the care and compassion shown to Lizzie and her family. A celebration of Lizzie’s life will be 10AM, Friday, January 11, 2018 at Westside Church of Christ in Muskogee with Mr. Harry Fitzgerald and Mr. Logan Edmison officiating. Interment will follow at Citizen’s Cemetery in Fort Gibson with Jimbo O’Rear, Christopher Hughes, Tyler Cook, and Patrick Herriman serving as pallbearers.
