Alice Faye Wilson, 82, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019. She was born on July 26, 1936 to A.F. Whitehead and Mable Alice (Stockstill) Whitehead in Apache, Oklahoma. Alice was taught by her mom in a one room school house in rural Oklahoma through eighth grade.

She attended Lawton High School and graduated from Temple High School in 1954. Alice married the love of her life, Carl Stanley Wilson, on July 19, 1954 in Lawton, Oklahoma. They shared over 64 years of marriage and life together.

Alice worked as a bank teller for many years and also worked at Muskogee Communications as the office manager until her retirement in 1999. She enjoyed gardening and sewing, and she was a member of a sewing and embroidery group at B-Sew Inn in Muskogee. Alice loved taking care of her family and thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren.

She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, A.F. and Mable Whitehead; daughter-in-law, Julie Wilson; and niece Regina Whitehead Olson. She is survived by her husband, Carl Stanley Wilson of the home; son, Carl Wayne Wilson of Muskogee, OK; daughter, Nedra Wilson of Jenks, OK; brother, Bill Whitehead of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Whitney Grigsby of Ft.

Gibson, Scott Wilson of Muskogee, OK, Courtney Wilson of Coweta, OK, Adam Wilson of Muskogee, OK, Miranda Wilson of Ft. Gibson, OK, Catherine Wilson of Muskogee, OK, Hunter Wilson of Muskogee, OK and Jacob Wilson of Jenks, OK; great-grandchildren, Emma, Jace, Brinley, Levi, Colton, Jaxon and Eli; two nieces, Renee and Julia both of California; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Alice’s life will be 10AM, Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Memorial Park Mausoleum in Muskogee with Chaplain Bill Crow officiating.
