Lloyd Clinton Lowe III was born on April 25th 1960 in Kansas City Kansas and passed away on Tuesday March 19th, 2019 at the age of 58 at the St. Luke’s Hospice House in Kansas City Missouri after a long and courageous battle with multiple cancers. Lloyd is survived by his sweetheart Linda Larson, his children Lloyd Michael Lowe, Bobbi Leanette Stair, Garrett Sleeper and Harlee Dee Sleeper, his grandchildren Nicholas, Mercediez, Isabell, Nathaniel, Aiden and Jermaine, his sister Kim Lorenzo and half-brother Timothy Lowe, his Uncle Dennis Lowe and many beloved friends. He is predeceased by his parents Mike & Sue Henry and father Lloyd Clinton Lowe Jr. Lloyd spent many years as a local automobile mechanic before finding his true passion in Culinary Arts.

He achieved his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson County Community College and his Bachelors Degree in Culinary Management from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, and Certification in Smoked and Grilled Foods from the Master BBQ School. He specialized in Fruit Carving, BBQ Competitions and Chocolate Molding. Lloyd shared his love of Culinary Arts with his grandchildren.

He enjoyed baking their birthday cakes, getting everyone together for fish fry’s at his place and decorating cookies for the holidays. His other hobbies included gardening with his sweetheart, wood working, hunting & fishing, and a love of local unknown bands. He worked to create memories and was always finding something to laugh about.

He will always be loved and forever will be missed. Please join us to honor Lloyd’s life on Saturday March 30th at 12:00 pm at the Edwardsville Christian Church, located at 110 N. 4th St. Edwardsville KS 66111. His Minister Mike Vernon will commemorate his life with a short service.

Following the service please join his family downstairs for a light lunch of BBQ sliders, Music and your favorite memories of Lloyd. He lost his battle, but we will fight his war! In Lloyd’s honor please make a donation to the Cancer Treatment of America in Zion Illinois in lieu of flowers or gifts.
