Lois Ann (Gargano) Chciuk, 88, of Toms River, passed away at home on Friday, December 7, 2018. She was born in Elizabeth where she resided until moving to Toms River in 2001. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony’s RC Church, Elizabeth, where she was a choir member and a Eucharistic Minister.

She was a volunteer at Union Hospital and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Mrs. Chciuk was the founder of Guardian Ambulance Service in Elizabeth and a graduate of the first EMT class in New Jersey. Lois Ann was the beloved wife of the late Stanley J. Chciuk, Sr., devoted mother of Stanley J. Chciuk, Jr. and his wife Linda, Glennis Lenahan and her husband John, Lenore Chciuk–Davis and her husband Errol, Martine Styles and her husband Steven, Sr., cherished grandmother of 12 and great grandmother of 11.

Loving sister of the late Ruth Strobel and Frank Gargano, Jr. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from Krowicki McCracken Funeral Home, 2124 E. St. Georges Avenue, Linden, N.J. 07036. Visiting 9:00 am until time of funeral at St. Anthony RC Church, Elizabeth at 11:00 am. Entombment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Center for Hospice 1900 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ 07076 would be appreciated.
