Obituary for Lois Chandler Lois Chandler, 83, of Grand Island, Nebraska passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev.

Adam Snoberger will officiate. Burial to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Lois led an exceptional life full of laughter and beautiful music. She was born on September 6, 1935 in Eganville, Ontario, Canada, the daughter of Rev. Rudolph and Helen (Krueger) Brenner.

Lois grew up in Canada until moving south to Wisconsin where she graduated from Necedah High School. She continued her education and was awarded her nursing degree from St. Louis Lutheran Hospital. Throughout her life she was a natural caregiver and was employed as a nurse at several hospitals and home healthcare agencies in the Northern Illinois area.

On April 22, 1957 she was united in marriage to Joseph “Joe” Chandler. This union was blessed with six children. Lois’s passion was music; she loved to play the organ, piano, and a little guitar now and then.

Lois played regularly for church services, weddings, funerals, and any occasion that music could bring joy to. Her legacy is honored by her children: Jennifer (Greg) Wilson of Gallatin, TN; Daniel (Cheryl) Chandler of Montgomery, IL; Kathleen (Max) Taylor of Rapid City, SD; Cynthia Chandler; Steve (Tami) Chandler of Wood River; Patricia (Ehab) Abbas Abdel Karim of MN; sister, Marie Anderman of IL; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her husband Joe; her parents; and three of her sisters: Ruth Grabowski, Irene Coleman, and Faith Bathje.
