Mrs. Lois J. Roth, 90, of Danville Pa. , formerly of Lehighton, passed into eternal rest on Saturday September 29th at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg, Pa. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Roth who passed away June 9, 1993.

Born June 17, 1928 in Lehighton, Pa. , she was a daughter of the late Joseph & Hannah (Mendelson) Schwenk. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at PENNDOT as an administrative assistant.

She was a member of SS Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Lehighton. Surviving is a daughter, Ann R., wife of Jeff C. Kay of Danville, 1 granddaughter, Dr. Hayley E. Kay, nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth C.”Betty” Schwenk.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 4th at 10 a.m. at the Ovsak Funeral Home, 190 South 4th Street, Lehighton with Deacon Joseph Wilhelm officiating. Call 9-10 a.m. Interment in SS Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 57 North Franklin Street, Wilkes Barre, Pa.
