Lois M. (Orr) Fisher, 87, of Kewanee, passed away at 4:02 am on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, Geneseo. Lois was born February 17, 1931 in Kewanee, the youngest daughter of Joe and Alice (Heeter) Orr. Lois married Robert “Bob” Dale Fisher on June 1, 1951 at the First United Methodist Church, Kewanee, he preceded her in death on January 17, 2015.

Lois held several positions in the various offices of the Henry County Genealogical Society and volunteered in their genealogical library. Lois is survived by one son, Michael (Linda) Fisher, Sheffield; one daughter, Karen (Dave) Tomsic, Kewanee; two grandsons, Chad (Angie) Fisher, Sheffield, Cory (Laura) Fisher, Bradenton, FL; four great grandchildren, Lea, Lani, Kenzi and Carson Fisher, one brother, Warren Orr; several nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Jean Orr.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Lynn in 1976; three sisters, Marion (in infancy), Gladys Bates, Jean Jennings; two brothers, Donald and Max; one nephew, Bobby Orr (Vietnam); and a niece, Donna Handley. Lois was active in their farming operation at Sheffield and Kewanee, was an avid reader, enjoyed researching genealogy, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Pleasant View Cemetery. Pastor Martin Gutzmer will officiate. There will be no visitation.
