William “Bill” August Doye, 84, of Kewanee, died on November 1, 2018 at OSF St. Luke Medical Center, Kewanee. Bill was born February 13, 1934, in Kewanee, the son of Donald Edward Doye and Alice Deliah Hotz. Bill married Virginia Ann Jenkin on September 5, 1954 at the Baptist Church, Kewanee, she survives.

Bill is also survived by one daughter, Jayne Dolieslager, Kewanee; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Kevin Neuleib) Boelens and Jessika Boelens, both of Kewanee; one great granddaughter, Danielle… Read More » Neuleib; two great grandsons, Carver Neuleib and Jeffry Boelens-Darding; and one sister, Joyce Stephens, Coal Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffry Doye; brother, Donald Doye; and son-in-law, Greg Dolieslager. Bill served in the Army during the Korean War.

Bill worked as an Owner Operator and visited every state. Bill enjoyed watching TV and was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. Bill also enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and great grandchildren, he loved running them around for various activities and enjoyed going to their sporting events.

He also loved John Deere memorabilia and tinkering in the garage. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the funeral home.

Pastor Terry Lancaster will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund to be established.
