Lois’ Obituary Lois M. (Mitchell) Tucker age 87 of Stockton, IL, died peacefully Sunday Morning, January 20, 2019 at FHN Hospital in Freeport. Born July 10, 1931 in Freeport, IL, she was the daughter of Beulah Endress and Fred Mitchell. She married Harold E. Tucker on July 27, 1949.

She worked at the Telephone Company, McNess, Carl Sandburg School Kitchen and assisted her husband in window treatments and farming. She was also a stay at home mother and loving wife. She loved her dogs and Elvis music.

She had a strong belief in God and the power of prayer. Surviving are her two sons, Kenneth R. (Brenda) Tucker and Hal O. (Cindy Tucker) both of Stockton; two sisters, Nola Hopkins of Stockton and Sandra Plowman of Freeport; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and she was loved by all of her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Beulah Lantz and Fred Mitchell; step-mother, Lois Sandine; husband, Harold; son, Thomas; and brother, Earl Goodman.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26th at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Stockton; Father Michael Morrissey presiding. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 9:00 am. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
