Mooresburg: Lola “Mavis” Carroll, age 93 of Mooresburg, was born, September 1, 1925, and went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 8, 2019 at Signature HealthCARE of Rogersville. Mavis was a member of Spruce Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett A. Carroll; parents, Roy and Annie Lovin; sisters, Ethel Townsend and Reva Warren; brother, Rev.

Dayton Lovin; step-son, Rev. Billy C. Carroll; step-daughter, Geraldine Carroll Lovin and husband, Arnold Chester Lovin. She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Faye Livesay and husband, H.C.; grandson, Dr. Craig Livesay and wife, Brittney; sister, Gladys Wolfe; stepdaughter-in-law, Marie Carroll; step-grandchildren, Tim Carroll and wife, Dianne, Susan Thames and husband, Chuck, Lora Osburn and husband, Gary, Shannon Lovin and wife, Nancy; 11 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at Signature HealthCARE of Rogersville and Amedisys Hospice, Morristown for their love and compassionate care of our loved one. Graveside service will be 5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Lovin Cemetery in Mooresburg with Justin Carroll officiating.
