Lorene M. Hartwig, 94, of Anamosa, formerly of Olin, Iowa passed away on October 24, 2018 at Pinicon Place in Anamosa. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Lahey and Dawson Funeral Home in Olin, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. before the service.

Burial will be held at the Olin Cemetery. Lorene was born on September 17, 1924 in Jones County, Iowa to Dewey and Nellie (Hurt) Petersen. She was united in marriage to Walter Hartwig who preceded her in death in 1974.

She worked at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids for 29 years. Lorene loved going to the cabin and fishing. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Those left to cherish her memories are her brothers; Paul (Neena) Petersen of Knoxville TN and Dewey (Beckie) Petersen of Winthrop. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, sister Velma, four brothers; Richard, Doug, Tom and Fred. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to her family in her honor.
