Loretta’s Obituary Loretta Sue Weber Ratliff, CPA has passed to be with our Lord at the age of 73. Sue was born to Frank and Edna Weber on August 7, 1945 in Pilot Point, Texas. She graduated from Pilot Point High School in 1962 at the age of 16.

Sue studied accounting at North Texas State University in Denton. She graduated with a Master’s Degree in Accounting and was a Certified Public Accountant. L. Sue Ratliff, CPA was one of the first female staff accountants in the tax department at Arthur Young & Co. in Ft.

Worth in 1969. Sue also taught accounting a NTSU and Tarrant County Jr. College NE campus before establishing her private accounting practice in the Haltom-Richland Hills area. Sue’s office was on Glenview Drive serving clients and working with Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee Tim Truman for 30 plus years.

Sue married John E. Ratliff in 1966 and raised her two children in Haltom City but moved to Richland Hills upon her divorce in 1988. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Richland Hills serving on the parish council for many years. Having been very active socially and professionally, Sue was a member of the Ft.

Worth Junior Women’s Club, American Institute of CPAs, Texas Society of CPAs, Northeast Tarrant Chamber of Commerce, Camp Fire, Ft. Worth African Violet Society, Symphony League of Ft. Worth, and Diamond Oaks Country Club.

Sue is survived by her two children, Glennell Sue Ratliff Brivic and husband, Mickey of Portland, Oregon and Michael Frank Ratliff of Richland Hills, Texas. Also surviving are the six loves of her life, her grandchildren – Alex, Nicole, and Marin Brivic of Portland, Oregon and Gibson, Alayna, and Dayne Ratliff of North Richland Hills, Texas. Sue is also survived by her brother, Donald Weber and his wife, Marilyn of Pilot Point, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

If you ever saw Sue’s garden, you knew she loved flowers. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Ft. Worth Botanical Garden or the Ft.

Worth Humane Society. She loved to watch the flowers grow and her dogs run around with the grandchildren. Visitation starting at 10:00AM with a Rosary being said at 10:30AM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Pilot Point with Fr. John Martin officiating. Online condolences may be shared at www.
