Obituary for Louella Ferrell Louella Ferrell, 93, of Madison went to her eternal home on June 26, 2018 surrounded by family. Louella was well known in the Madison area where she worked for many years. Louella was a long time member of Six Mile Methodist Church and a member of the Ladies Aid Society.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Aubrey; her mother, Bessie Mae Scraggs Cook; her father, Elmo Kenna Cook; and her oldest grandson, Troy W. Hendricks II. Left to cherish her memory is her four children, Dorothy (Troy) Hendricks of Mud River, Dana (Lana) Ferrell of Six Mile, Terry (Sandy) Ferrell of Madison and Debbie (Wayne) Ashby of Foster; seven grandchildren, Vincent Hendricks of Charleston, Jay Ashby of Chesterfield, VA, Chad Ferrell of Lavallette, Kimberley Ashby Gillispie of Julian, Jennifer Ferrell of Charleston, Darrin Tabor and David Tabor of Madison; three great grandsons, Brandon Lowery of Chesterfield, VA, Zachary Gillispie, serving with the US Navy in Norfolk, VA, and Kade Ashby of Chesterfield, VA; as well as a host of friends and family. The family would like to express our thanks and gratitude to the staff of Hillcrest Healthcare Center and Hubbard Hospice House for the love, care, and compassion shown to our mother.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Pastor Roger McCauley officiating. Interment will follow in Family Memory Gardens, Low Gap, WV. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening at the funeral home.
