Obituary for Susan “Susie” Miller Susan “Susie” Miller, 90, of Madison, WV went home June 21, 2018 at Chateau Grove Assisted Living, Barboursville, Wv. She was preceded in death by husband Eugene O. Miller; parents Aubry and Hattie Powell; brothers, Howard Powell and Bobby D. Powell; sisters Mildred Perry and Helen Ferwevda; son-in-law Peter Smith; and great-grandson Evan Miller. She was a Christian by the Grace and Faith of her Lord Jesus Christ.

She was an active member of Womens Aglow and VFW Womens Auxiallary. She was well known in Madison for her many years as manager and salesperson for Home Furniture, B&L Furniture, and Cozy Furniture. Her greatest joy was teaching one year at Greenview Grade School after WWII.

She is survived by son Eddie (Reginia)Miller of Danville, Renee (Phillip) Abbott of St. Johns, Fla. , and Retta Smith of Niceville, Fla. ; grandchildren, Eric Miller, Tesha (Steve) Jacobs, Lanna Miller, Jeremy Abbott, Julie Abbott, Corey (Lindsey) Smith, Seth Smith, JT Smith, and Zachary Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.

Service will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 25 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Paul Little officiating. Internment will follow in Family Memory Gardens, Low Gap, WV. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Susan “Susie” Miller please visit our Sympathy Store.
