Obituary for Richard Curtis White Richard Curtis White “Rick”, 69, of Gordon, WV formerly of Wharton, went home to be with the Lord on June 20, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. He was born January 15, 1949 to the late Curtis and Mae Lee White. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Benny White.

He was a graduate of Van High School, a member of Gordon Union Church, and was retired from CSX Transportation. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Justice White; one son, Curt White of Gordon; one daughter, Brianne Sperry and her husband Gene of Madison; three granddaughters, Ali, Aubri and Harli White of Gordon; three grandsons, Cameron, Colton, and Dominic Sperry of Madison; three nieces, Amanda White of Wharton, Jennifer Keeney and her husband Floyd of Belle, and Jessica Justice of Madison; one nephew, Bryson Justice of Madison; brothers-in-law, Steve Justice and his wife Alice of Madison and Bryan Justice and his wife Shawn Marie of Madison; along with a host of other family and friends. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, June 24 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Matt Johner officiating.
