Louella Jones Magee August 23, 1946 – January 23, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Louella Jones Magee, age 72, passed from this earthly life on January 23, 2019 at approximately 7:30 am in Little Rock, Arkansas with her mother, and youngest daughter at her side. Louella was born on August 23, 1946 in Cash, AR to Queen Burton Shavers and the late Albert Shavers. She was later raised by her father, the late Ed Jones.

Although born in Arkansas, Louella was raised by her parents in the SEMO area. She was a 1965 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School in Caruthersville, MO, and later earned her LPN certification. As many of you know she spent over 40 years working in the nursing field until her illness.

Louella worked at almost every hospital in NEAR such as Harris Hospital, Newport Hospital, and Lawrence Memorial Hospital as well as being a traveling nurse for the Former Nurse Finders. Her work ethic was well known by her peers and colleagues, and her desire to provide high quality care to her patients and residents. It was all done with love, respect, and compassion.

She is survived by her mother, Queen Ella Dickson, and stepfather, Henry of Walnut Ridge; her three children: Decentra (Arthur) Murray of Walnut Ridge; Antonio (Deedra) Jones of Jonesboro; and Nichetra Magee of Little Rock. Three grandchildren: Cortney-Marcus, and Trelan Magee of Little Rock; and Antonio Jones, Jr of Pensacola, FL. One Uncle, Albert (Carolyn) Burton of Newport.

Her beloved pet and companion, Sissy, and her granddog, Wyatt Magee. She also leaves several cousins, extended family, coworkers, and her church family at Free Street Church of Christ to celebrate her memory. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-12:00PM Saturday February 2, 2019 at House-Gregg Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.

Funeral services will begin at 12:00PM Saturday February 2, 2019 at House-Gregg Funeral Home with Don House officiating. Under direction of House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge & Lynn, AR.
