Louis Jackson Sr. passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 9:33 a.m. at his residence. He was 67. Mr. Jackson was born in Lansing, MI on February 11, 1951, the son of the late Nim and Dessiree Williams Jackson.

He attended Niles High School. Following high school, Louis was employed as a garbage man to earn money to raise his younger sister and put her through school. Later in life, he worked for YBM and also Harddrives Paving as an operating engineer.

Louis was of Protestant faith. He had a fond love for the outdoors, especially tending to his cactus plants. He was also known for being a movie critic.

He loved his grandkids and spending time with them. Family and friends were important to Louis. He cherished all the memories that they had created together at cookouts and spending time together.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Lori Lynn Jackson and Lisa (Adam) Gardner; a sister Linda (Delmar) Jackson Nickels; and 4 grandchildren, Joe Profanchik II, Victoria Profanchik, Caleb Gardner, and Sophie Gardner. In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Victoria Lynn Cline Jackson; and a son, Louis Jackson Jr. Friends and family may view the obituary and send condolences by visiting www.
