Margaret Madona Schaffert of Hiram went home to be with the lord of Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was 89. Margaret was born in Cleveland on October 19, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Margaret McCarthey Spigutz.
She attended Cleveland School Systems. Mrs. Schaffert was a bus driver for the West Geauga School district for 33 years. Margaret was a woman of faith and Born-Again Christian.

Earlier in life, Mrs. Schaffert found enjoyment playing a game of golf on a sunny day or cheering on her favorite sports team. Most importantly she loved spending time and making memories with her loving family.
Mrs. Schaffert is survived by 3 children, Roger (Eileen) Schaffert and their children, LeeAnn, Amanda, Roger Jr., and Kelly; Lynn (Wayne) Valentino and their children Ryan, Matthew, and Anna; and Dennis (Nancy) Schaffert and their children Christy, Jamie, Lindsay, Michael, Alexandra; 19 great grandchildren, Mia, Adalyn, Dylan, Jonathan, Lily, Madison, Emma, William, Hailey, Sophia, Abby, Joshua, Hudson, Adaley, Aislyn, Roman, Colton, Emilana, Elaina, Julian, Jessie, Elian, and Samantha.
