Louise F. (Winterman) Ewers, 75, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. She was the daughter of John and Erna (Morris) Winterman. Louise was a graduate of Mater Dei High School and received her bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Evansville.

She served as Lector and Eucharistic Minister at Resurrection Catholic Parish where she had been a member for many years. Louise volunteered for many organizations over the years, serving as president of the local Ladies of Charity. While working for the Catholic Diocese, she began and spread The Natural Family Planning program.

Louise enjoyed working outdoors in a garden, reading, and taking long walks with her little yorkie “Tinker” who preceded her in death. She also loved writing and loved doing water color. The real joy of her life was her family who survive her, sons, Thomas, Jr. (Toni), Richard (Cindy), James, Keith (Natalie); daughter, Patricia (Nick); grandchildren, Nicole (JR), Amber (Brandon), Dusty (Katie), Levin, Brandi, Justin, Ashley (Casey), Cody (Emily), Derek, Tony (Dawn), Jacob (Megan), Jamie, Ashley Morgan (Chris), Parker and KayLee Roberts; 17 great grandchildren; brothers, John (Dale) and David Winterman.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Phyllis (Tom) Hormuth, and daughter- in- law, Tammy. Visitation will be 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave. , Evansville.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Visitation will continue 8:30 am – 9:00 am, Saturday, February 16, 2018 at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony Rd, Evansville, IN 47720. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 am at the church with Father Ted Tempel officiating.

In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Gilda’s Club of Evansville, 5740 Vogel Rd, Evansville, IN 47715 or Arc Crisis Nursery, 415 Lincoln Ave, Evansville, IN 47713. The family would like to say thank you to Dr. Anthony Stevens and the staff at Chancellor Oncology Center. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
