Melvin John Bittner, 89, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Linda E. White Hospice House. Melvin was born in Evansville, Indiana on February 1, 1930, to the late Edward and Rosa (Reinhart) Bittner. He honorably served in the United States Air Force.

He worked at Chrysler and, after many years of service, retired from Whirlpool. Melvin was a member of the American Legion, VFW and lifetime member of St. James Catholic Church.
