Louise LeRoy January 15, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card| Donate Funeral Funds Louise LeRoy age 110, formerly of Cleveland, Tn. went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 15, 2019 in a healthcare facility in Marietta, GA. She was born on March 30, 1908, the second of eight children born to the late Stanberry Wheeler and Francis Dean Wheeler.

Louise was married to Hugh LeRoy on March 23, 1946. Although no children were born to this union, Louise nurtured and mothered many children as her very own. She attended public school in Murray County, GA and high school in Rome, GA.

Mrs. Louise taught public school for a short while alongside Miss Nina Jo Moore in Murray Co., GA. Louise joined Pine Hill Baptist Church at an early age and was a faithful member. After moving to Atlanta, Ga, she joined Zion Hill Baptist Church and was under the pastorate of Reverend Doctor Levi Terrill, Sr. where she was a faithful and dedicated member.

She worked in Sunday School Sisterhood, BYPU, The March Club, and the Missionary Society. Mrs. LeRoy was employed by the Rounsaville Family for more than fifty years. Mrs. LeRoy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Hugh LeRoy, five brothers, Alfred Wheeler, Beck Wheeler, Edward Wheeler, Campbell Wheeler, Murphy Wheeler and two sisters, Evelyn Taylor and Dorothy Cox.

Those left to hold in their hearts the precious memories of Aunt Louise are a host of loving nieces, nephews, Susan Fishburne whom she raised from the age of 6 weeks along with her children and grandchildren, caregiver and special friend, Donna Reed. She was loved by all who knew her. Home going services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church- 6175 Campbelton Road Atlanta, Georgia with the Rev.

Dr. Aaron Parker delivering the eulogy. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 at the church. Interment will follow the service at Southview Cemetery 1990 Jonesboro Rd.
